AHA & BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner
The ultimate blemish-busting treatment for problem skin.
WHAT IS IT?
The MCoBeauty AHA & BHA PORE REFINING EXFOLIATING TONER is a blemish-fighting treatment for problem complexions. Skin instantly feels brighter, clearer, and firmer thanks to our unique triple blend of chemical exfoliators (Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid) that remove dead skin cells, minimise the appearance of pores, eliminate pimples and even out skin tone.
WHAT IT DOES:
- Fights breakouts, pigmentation, and sun damage
- Exfoliates dead skin cells, smooths skin texture
- Unclogs and tightens pores, minimising their appearance
WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT:
- Rich in Salicylic Acid (BHA), Lactic Acid (AHA) and Glycolic Acid (AHA)
- Refreshing, hydrating finish
- Fights blemishes
HOW TO USE IT
Soak a clean cotton pad with toner and gently apply to skin where needed, avoiding the delicate eye area. Follow with the MCoBeauty Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Face Serum.
If you are new to actives, particularly AHAs/BHAs, we suggest introducing this toner slowly into your routine, using it 1-2 times a week at night at first, then increasing use as your skin builds up tolerance.
We suggest patch testing first. Exfoliation can increase skin sensitivity to the effects of sun exposure. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

FAQ
How often should I use this product?
That depends on your skin type. Oily and congested skin types LOVE this product, with some even using it twice a day, morning and night.
Those with normal/dry/sensitive skin might prefer to use this toner at night, 1-2 times a week.
If you are new to actives, particularly AHAs/BHAs, we suggest introducing this toner slowly into your routine, using it 1-2 times a week at night at first, then increasing use as your skin builds up tolerance.
Is this product suitable for sensitive skin?
The entire MCoBeauty Skincare range has been formulated with sensitive skin in mind and all of our products are suitable for those with sensitive skin.
But as always, we encourage you to listen to your skin's needs and tailor your routine accordingly. Some people with sensitive skin can exfoliate every few days, while others can only tolerate exfoliation once a week or once a fortnight.
If you have sensitive skin, we recommend introducing this toner into your routine once a week as a chemical exfoliating treatment, then increasing the frequency of use as you build up your tolerance.
What is an AHA and what is a BHA?
AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acid while BHA stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid.
These are both types of chemical exfoliants that resurface the skin, dissolving dead skin cells to reveal beautifully fresh, clean and glowing skin.
Lactic acid and glycolic acid are AHAs and are two of the most popular exfoliating ingredients used in skincare products.
Salicylic acid is a type of BHA that is hugely popular among those who experience congestion and regular breakouts, as unlike an AHA it goes beneath the skin's surface to deeply exfoliate your pores, removing excess sebum that causes pimples. It can also control oil production to prevent oiliness and breakouts.
What is the difference between a physical exfoliant and a chemical exfoliant?
Our Gentle Vitamin C Exfoliating Scrub is the perfect example of a physical exfoliant. Scrubs are physical exfoliators because they use tiny granules to physically exfoliate the skin, buffing away dead skin cells to reveal a smooth, soft complexion.
Our AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner is the perfect example of a chemical exfoliant. The toner uses AHAs and BHAs, two types of liquid chemical exfoliants, to dissolve dead skin cells, instead of physically buffing them away.
Chemical exfoliants are completely safe to use on the skin and are scientifically proven to improve skin health. We recommend applying a sunscreen everyday when incorporating chemical exfoliants into your skincare routine.
Does this product contain alcohol?
Yes, our AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner does contain alcohol, which acts as a purifying preservative to ensure the ongoing stability and sterility of the formulation.
