Step 1: Clean and dry your hands
The secret to a perfect manicure starts right at the beginning, so make sure to clean off any polish and oils before you get started. This will ensure the nail glue has the best grip possible and extend the longevity of your nails. This is also the time to push back and trim your cuticles using our Cuticle Scissors. Make sure your hands and nails are completely dry before moving on!
Step 2: Pick the nail for each finger
In your chosen pack of fake nails, whether you’ve gone for our French Tip (Short or Medium Length), Natural Square Tip, or Natural Stiletto Tip, select which press-on nail size fits each finger. If your nail is between sizes, pick one that is a little bit wider before filing it down to the perfect size with our Dual Sapphire Nail File.
Step 3: Glue
Add a touch of glue to the underside of the fake nail, and a touch to your real nail. Place the nail just above your cuticle, ensuring the nail stays straight. Press down for around ten seconds on each nail, ensuring there are no gaps around the edges for water to get in. It is important not to use too much glue, a little bit goes a long way!
Step 4: Tidy it up
If any glue has leaked from underneath the nails, now is the time to tidy it up with our Liquid Buds Makeup Remover, gently cleaning around the edges of your nails and cuticles. Make sure you tidy up the bottle of nail glue too, ensuring it is ready to go for your next at-home manicure.
Step 5: File for Length and Shape
If you want to make the nails a little bit shorter or change the shape, now is the time to use our Emery Boards to gently adjust it as desired.
Step 6: Finishing Touches

Top tip: We recommend applying the false nails to your dominant hand first – once you’ve applied the nails to your non-dominant hand, it will be trickier to use!
