FAQs

Is MCoBeauty Skincare tested on animals?

No. We are a proudly vegan and cruelty-free brand. We are also PETA certified.

Where are MCoBeauty Skincare products made?

We're an Australian owned company and we create all of our products in Australia, from our HQ in Sydney.

The entire MCoBeauty Skincare range is also made here in Australia.

Is MCoBeauty Skincare safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women to use?

Yes! All of our products are completely bump safe. If you have any concerns about particular ingredients, please consult your health care professional before use.

Is MCoBeauty Skincare fragrance-free?

Yes, our entire range does not include any synthetic or added fragrance.

That refreshing citrus scent you smell in some of our products is the natural smell delivered by lemon myrtle leaf oil, which is extracted from the native Australian lemon myrtle plant.

Is MCoBeauty Skincare suitable for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. The entire MCoBeauty range has been formulated with sensitive skin in mind and contains no nasties, so that means the range contains no sulphates, no parabens, no PEGs, no silicones and no phthalates.

Is MCoBeauty Skincare suitable for teen and pre-teen skin?

100%. The entire MCoBeauty Skincare range is suitable for teenagers and pre-teens, particularly those experiencing congestion and breakouts.

Our Salicylic Foaming Face Cleanser, Gentle Vitamin C Exfoliating Scrub and AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner all contain salicylic acid, an amazing exfoliating Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) that penetrates the skin to deeply exfoliate pores, removing blackheads and whiteheads, healing existing pimples and preventing further breakouts.

Help! I've been using MCoBeauty Skincare and have experienced a reaction.

Oh no! We are so sorry to hear that.

Our products do contain a high concentration of science-backed active ingredients that are clinically proven to transform skin.

If you are new to actives, you might like to introduce products such as the Gentle Vitamin C Exfoliating Scrub and the AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner gradually, starting off using just once a week at night.

If you have experienced a reaction, we recommend reducing the frequency that you use these two products.

Does MCoBeauty Skincare contain preservatives?

Yes, MCoBeauty Skincare products contain preservatives in order to preserve the stability and effectiveness of the highly concentrated active ingredients used throughout the range. They also increase their shelf life, meaning your products will last for a longer period of time, yet still remain highly effective.

Furthermore, preservatives ensure the formulations remain sterile and safe to use by preventing bacteria from developing and growing inside the products.

Does MCoBeauty Skincare contain alcohol?

Our AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner does contain alcohol, which acts as a purifying preservative to ensure the ongoing stability and sterility of the formulation.

Is MCoBeauty Skincare non-comedogenic?

While the term non-comedogenic is an unregulated marketing term with no legal definition - it simply refers to skincare and makeup formulations that do not block pores - there are no ingredients in the MCoBeauty Skincare range that would block pores.

In fact, all of the products in our range have been designed to transform breakout-prone skin thanks to congestion-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid and niacinamide.

What is the difference between a physical exfoliant and a chemical exfoliant?

Our Gentle Vitamin C Exfoliating Scrub is the perfect example of a physical exfoliant. Scrubs are physical exfoliators because they use tiny granules to physically exfoliate the skin, buffing away dead skin cells to reveal a smooth, soft complexion.

Our AHA/BHA Pore Refining Exfoliating Toner is the perfect example of a chemical exfoliant. The toner uses AHAs and BHAs, two types of liquid chemical exfoliants, to dissolve dead skin cells, instead of physically buffing them away.

Chemical exfoliants are completely safe to use on the skin and are scientifically proven to improve skin health. We recommend applying a sunscreen everyday when incorporating chemical exfoliants into your skincare routine.

How long do MCoBeauty Skincare products last? How do I know if my product has expired?

The expiry date for each MCoBeauty Skincare product will vary depending on its unique formulation, but most skincare products last up to 12 months.

In order to check the expiry date of your product, look on the back of the packaging for a small graphic that looks like a container. It will include a number, followed by the letter "M". This indicates the number of months your skincare products will remain active for, after opening.

How quickly until I see results?

Everyone's skin is different and responds differently to various ingredients.

Some people report instant results immediately after use, while for some it takes a little while longer.

Our official MCoBeauty Skincare Trial Team members experienced their incredible results after using our products exclusively for 30 days.
